  1. Hello again guys, this may be a rookie problem but I don't actually know what this part is called (as a result this may have been posted this in the wrong section). I don't know what this part is called but I think it doesn't look good. Is this an easy fix? Thanks for all your help!

What part is this & how do I stop it leaking?

Can anyone help me on this? I can't see it in my owner's manual :s
  3. Hi folks. I'm trying to remove the plastic panel below my windscreen so I can remove a build up of leaves and debris but I can't take the panel off without first removing the wipers. I can't seem to figure out how to unscrew the wipers. Is this because of the oxidisation or is there an easy way to do this that I'm missing? Thanks for any help!
  4. Thanks! I'll give this a go
  5. Hello folks. I purchased my TC second-hand two years ago and only recently decided to take a look at the air filter (I've not noticed any engine troubles but someone told me they should be changed every few years). As you can see from the comparison photo below, the filter was in a pretty horrific state. The filter has torn and the torn part had been partly sucked up into my intake hose. I have no idea how long the filter has been torn or how long it has been sucking grime into my engine. My questions are... Could this tear have compromised the engine in any way? Are there any steps I can take to check or to clean out grime? Would it be worth swapping out the intake hose? Thanks for any help

My air filter was torn - is my engine in trouble?

Brilliant! Thanks for the info. I will get onto this right away. The Tornado looks a bit pricey with some mixed reviews - does it make a noticeable difference?

My air filter was torn - is my engine in trouble?

Thanks for the reply. Can I inspect the piston rings myself or is that something I should take to a mechanic? There is a lot of dirt but there is also a fine black powder that looks like soot.
  8. Hey folks, I've been having trouble with the fan blow in my TC so I bought a new resistor. While changing the resistor I found the connection appears to be oxidised and partly melted. Is there a way to replace a single connection without changing the entire wire loom? Any other advice or tips would be much appreciated. I've attached photos of the connector. Thanks

    Fan Resistor Connection Is Oxidised

Thanks for all the support guys! I was able to salvage a connector from a junk yard and then splice the wires together. It's not the prettiest fix but it's out of sight and everything is working again!

    Fan Resistor Connection Is Oxidised

The plug actually still fits into the resistor without any trouble but I am still not getting any fan. How do I replace the connector?
