  1. Well , I just went out to my van and sure enough I do have that button on my console I guess I just didn't know what it was thanks for the help I will have to pull the side panel back off to hook up the connector again and then I'll give it a try
  2. Nice ! I wish on the 2016 Titanium there was a parking alarm switch on the console . I would have defiantly used that option many times .
  3. no I bought a aftermarket Item By CURT The hitch and Plug and play wiring kit . Fits nice and trailer lights work fine but back up alarm is not disabled when plugged in .
  4. picture of hitch adaptor causing the back up alarm to make audible alarm constantly while in reverse
  5. Found a way to stop that annoying sound when I put my van in reverse. I unpluged this connector and the sound has stopped completely . I know it was there to warn me about to back into something but because I added this adapter to my hitch for my bicycle rack the sound happened all the time .now I get a short warning on my Dash but no annoying sound in reverse. The audible warning is supposed to stop when you plug in trailer lights but that never worked for me so every time I back my boat down the ramp I hear the sound that I'm going to crash into something now its silent so I can concentrate on what I'm doing. the camera still works just fine
  6. yes mine is a easy fuel cap less system , and I just wanted a extra protection from tampering or vandalism . ford must have more than one design because this locking cap I purchased definitely does not fit my van and cant seen to find one that does .
  7. Anyone found a locking fuel plug for the 2016 transit connect wagon? I bought this one below but it doesn't fit .looking for the correct part or aftermarket but not having any luck ? Genuine Ford 8U5Z-9C268-B Fuel Filler Plug
  8. I have the Ford Dealership looking at it today, I will report back with what they find . They suspect the gasket around the up top center brake light .
  9. Is sync version 5.9 the newest version available. Playing around with it last night and didn't seem to have all the functionality I have seen in other ford's with sync . Is this version 5.9 and sync 3 the same thing ? Thanks
  10. 2016 transit connect wagon. Noticed water in the back of my van several times after a hard rain .I have checked for debris or damage in the back seal but everything looks OK . Has anyone else had this problem with the big back hatch? .possibly around the top center brake light . Solutions ? Thanks trying to post a picture but says file it to large ?
  11. I would like to add a small light bar to a front license plate bracket I purchased. What is the best way to get power to it . 2016 transit connect wagon. I want a separate switch to only turn on when needed . Should I go straight to the battery or tap a fuse ? Thanks for any advise!
  12. Birch , good suggestion. I will look into it .when I looked at plywood it seemed very heavy to me ,I am no expert but when it comes down to it I can't even stand up in my van so I don't need to build a dance floor ? Thanks for the suggestion!
  13. Extra length of adapter no dunk rear end of van
  14. Started with a few easy mods, window vent shades worked out nicely and hitch and wire kit also worked good .had to use a reciver adapter for the kuat bike rack to Raise it a bit also keept the handle bar end form getting to close to the back glass .also the extra length keep me from having to dunk the back of the van at the boat ramp ,all and all a successful day
  15. Toxicity is a concern thanks for mention that ! I think I will play around with foam sometime in the near future but for now will stick with wood . I have used up my research time aleady and need to start my build. I do want to keep it simple and light and I think I can accomplish that with the path I am already on . When time allows I will dive into to some foam experimentation because it is an I intriguing idea.
  16. Been doing a lot of searching on custom camper van builds and stumbled on foam light weight cabinets ideas .from what I have read sounds like a good idea for someone like me who doesn't have any real experience or tools for wood .I am ready to try my hands at it and purchase tools but now rethinking about foam .does anyone have an opinion on foam vs wood for a light weight Transit connect build ? Maybe a combination of both Here is a link to some information I found http://intothemystery13.com/ultra-light-weight-foam-construction-technique/
  17. Thanks r1alvin and everyone else as well , I was having trouble reading your full builds on my cell phone but now that I am on a desk top things are much easier to navigate ! Awesome build on your van !!!!! you have really inspired me . wish I lived closer because I have all kinds of questions for you . I will try not to bug you all to much and as I progress on my project but I may need a little help . I will be buying some tools and wood this weekend to get started . Thanks again .
  18. Dang you all have some skills ! Love the builds and giving me some good Ideas ! My problem is the skills . I would love to build some storage under the flat floor and probably will try it eventually . For now I only have limited time to work on the camper van and a low level of skills in carpentry but I am not scared to try . I have to keep it simple for now to get me through the next few bike races so I will start by installing a flat floor with room for a few storage bins under the front depression . what is the thinnest piece of plywood I could use on the floor and still be somewhat sturdy . I will try to cover the plywood with some type of floor covering ? I really want to do a good job eventually but for now need to kind of cheap out and get something done fast . Thanks all for your ideas and help .
  19. Yes that sounds like something I would like to try I will do a search and see if I could find your wright up
  20. Your van is amazing! I have never built anything like this before but I guess I will have to learn if I want it cool rig to take to the mountain bike races I guess I will have to try to learn how to use the Forum as well having trouble so far but thanks for posting all your pictures I will have to start with some simple ideas .taking the seats out this weekend and go from there thanks for any help
  21. For search purposes what do I call this space that was under the front bucket seats ? I want to build something that makes the floor flat but uses the space for small storage . What have others done ? Thanks for any help ! What is under the raised section in the back ? Is it removable?
