  1. I Just live in a normal house and a decent size garage and normal salary. I always do my work outside in the UK weather in between showers etc lol I did all lathe work at work in my dinner hour which took a few weeks Youle be suprised what most of you can do. Just do it will always take you longer but if you keep at it you will get there.

Thanks I've got the know how the tools etc I just don't want to do the job twice I've done some quite big customs jobs in the past I've converted a transit to adopt a chevy different which included loads of lath work and cast iron welding I wanted a lower gear ratio as I was putting a bigger diesel engine in my van and didn't want it screening at high speed this was just one of the projects I've done in past.

Hi iam new to this can any one help me on converting my 1.8 engine to a 2.2 tdci out of a Mondeo I do have the full car as a doner Iam considering fitting the engine and 6 speed box as well as the mondeo loom and possible the hubs disc and drive shafts I pursume they will need shortening and the splines recutting But I guses it's not that simple Any help you be great Thanks Gibbo
