I went for the cash for clunkers trade-in on my Transit XL and was told by the dealer the self-employment incentive would nullify my CARS deal. However, I did get the Ford $500 rebate and another $100 for the clunker the salvage. This was on July 28.

Hello, I thought I'd sign up to the Forum seeing as how I took delivery of a Transit Connect XT on July 28th. For awhile (one day, I think) I had the only one in Maine. There are not many of them at the dealers and even fewer on the road. Everywhere I go I end up showing it. So far, so good. Economically speaking, the truck has been getting between 22 mpg and 27+ mpg. The 22 was mostly city driving during a hot spell. Truck has less than 2,000 miles on it. So, that's about it.
