Hello.
I recently purchased a 2010 Ford Transit Connect XLT because the previous owner drilled through the ignition key and clock spring to try and bypass the chip to start the car since he broke his key and didnt want to go to the dealer and pay $500+ for a key. So I said I would buy it ($2000). Slowly I began taking it apart. Airbag, steering wheel plus connections, windshield wipers switch, light switch, and turning signal switch. Removed the chip reader around the ignition key. Bought a Tibbe Key Decoder ($30), found the code to the ignition switch, and then bought a Master Key ($27) to test the tibbe key in the ignition. SUCCESS, it worked. So now im messaging someone in Australia to cut me 3 copies of the key ($90), and Ill just take it to my local locksmith to program. In all, a super steal!! Theres one problem, I bought a new clock spring ($100) since he drilled into it, and by the time the new clock spring arrived, I forgot how to put everything back together. Ive been assembling it and disassembling it, and slowly Ive managed to almost complete it. Theres just one connection I cant seem to find (#2). Ive attached a picture below.
Connections:
1. Top toggle switch
2. ?
3. lower toggle switch
4. connects to clock spring
5. around ignition switch
6. right toggle switch
If anyone could help, that would be great. Thanks.
