Budo675, I didn't want to start a new thread, but here I am in May 2023 in pretty much the same position you were when you started. 2012 Ford Transit Connect XLT, and getting to know the ins and outs. If you wish to share any tips and ideas, please do. For the most part, we are experienced car/van campers since 1971, but not with Ford TC, and we'll be visiting kids and grandkids, with a budget minded approach that starts with mattress and noseeum netting on the windows with 12V fans until we get accustomed to how things work. Look forward to hearing from others with more experience. Goodcheer! Jim

Thank you. Good ideas.
I rigged up mosquito netting for the front windows and back gate using this product for netting (about $20), plus a bunch of magnets mounted on wood strips to hold them in place. I suppose velcro could be made to do the same. Or plastic strips instead of wood.

Yeah I have a sort of similar setup at the moment using some spare mesh bags I had lying around (intended to store veggies in the fridge). But in the end I still really want a setup that I can deploy in seconds, roll down the window, slide it in, roll window up slightly. That being said I'm more focused on touring on my motorcycle this summer so the van project is on the back burner and is mainly my daily commuter at the moment haha. I'll be sure to post up the next time I update something.
