  1. I'm looking at the joint effort with VW--looks more geared as a family vehicle with upgraded interior appointments (6.5" touchscreen doesn't cut it for my 50 year old eyes) and also an AWD option. https://www.whatcar.com/ford/tourneo-connect/estate/review/n17334
  2. Turns out I actually want a Tourneo Connect Grand which will never happen in the U.S.
  3. I'm just confused that MSRP for a 2023 Outback Limited is $35k, but a TC Connect Titanium is $38k. IMHO, they're just overpriced for the "passenger wagon" market, at least in the US.
  4. I'm over my brief obsession of having a shiny new TC in our garage right now, so we're going to hold onto our Outback for at least couple more years and see what used TC's are going for down the road. I still wonder if they'll be dirt cheap after the new ones are gone or the opposite because of limited supply (at least the Titanium models).
  5. Just curious how has the reliability of your TC been?
  6. Thoughts on resale value going forward (at least for the passenger wagon models)? Are they going to go up (because hard to come by) or down (because discontinued)? If I wanted to be financially irresponsible, I could trade in our paid-off Subaru Outback towards $35-40k for a new 2022 Titanium model that's on a local dealership lot now--literally the only new Titanium model for sale within 250 miles. But the sensible husband/dad in me will wait at least a couple years for a more favorable buyer's market (hopefully) and see what used TC's are going for. I just wonder since there are so few available these days, should I snag a new one now and settle for another 5 years of monthly auto loan payments.
  7. I actually test drove a 2022 TC yesterday at a local dealer and really liked it. I give a slight edge to our Outback on ride and interior finish, but the TC was still plenty comfortable and I loved the handling around corners. If Ford changes their mind and continues selling them in the US after 2023 (or a similar replacement), it will likely be our next vehicle. I fear getting one used down the road would be a bad idea from the perspective of eventually not being able to get parts (since we would want to keep it probably 10+ years until the kids are out of the house).
  8. I just test drove a 2022 TC Wagon at the dealer (surprised they even had one on the lot) and really liked it, but we're not ready to buy probably for at least a couple years. I really thought it would be our next vehicle until hearing it is being discontinued--any thoughts on how difficult/expensive it will be for TC parts/repairs 5+ or 10+ years down the road?
  9. We have a 2018 Subaru Outback Premium which we are very happy with, but with our kids getting bigger every day, I think about upgrading in size but don't want a full-size minivan. So the Transit Connect Wagon (we're looking at the LWB passenger wagon as a family vehicle, not commercial) appeals to me since it has virtually the same footprint as the Outback but more internal space. Just soliciting opinions from current TC Wagon owners if you're so inclined to share your experience and talk us into joining the TC owner community. The most important features we like about our Outback that we would lose with a TC are all-wheel drive (we live outside of Chicago) and the 8" touch screen head unit (TC only has 6.5", kind of nitpicky but makes a difference for my middle-aged eyes). I really like the ride of our Outback and the interior fit and finish--I will be test driving a TC soon to compare, but I've read/seen mixed reviews online about its comfort. I'm also concerned hearing that they are discontinuing the TC in the U.S. next year. Appreciate any input and Happy New Year!
