Thanks everyone for the info. I purchased the shouldered lugs and after bending tabs a little they’re on nice and secure. So much better looking than the factory hub caps!

I purchased a set of the crown Vic center caps to replace my stock hubcaps on my ‘16 TC and when I tried to put them on yesterday the tabs didn’t seem line up with anything to snap onto. I’ve read that you can replace lugs for the ones with a shoulder on top but I’m still confused as to how they snap on even with new lugs. Any help would be appreciated! *Here’s some pics of what I’m working with.

I can’t figure out how these snap on, do I need the lug nuts with the shoulder on them and then bend the tabs. When I tried to put them on they didn’t line up with anything. Do they snap onto the lugs? Thanks!

davidparker, I have a ‘16 TC with the steel wheels and was wondering what year Crown Vic police interceptor caps did you use? I’m wanting to do the same thing to mine. Thanks!

If the hubcaps are removed from the standard wheels (2016 XL) can a center cap be used without the hubcap in place? Here is a pic of wheels I’m looking at. Thanks!

Thanks fifty, that makes sense. I made a shim and got the camera angle to move up a little, have more of an outward view now.

My cruise control buttons are on the left side of the steering column on a lever looking unit. I bought the van used and now after doing research it looks like it might be an aftermarket brand (Rostra). Maybe I can check their website for troubleshooting tips. Do you think the vans computer would have had to be reprogram to accept this if it is aftermarket?

I have a 2016 TC XL and recently took it to have a stereo/backup camera installed and now cruise control won’t stay engaged. I have not contacted the shop yet because I wanted to see if anyone on here had any ideas for things for me to check before I go in there. No CEL or anything showing up on dash but when I turn cruise control on at my desired speed it stays on for about 6 seconds or so then shuts off. It allows me to repeat immediately but same thing happens every time!? Any help would be appreciated.

Don, I did the engine running truck and it does not show the door being open on the dash and the dome light does not come on so I’m thinking it’s the part you mentioned. By the latch, do you mean the actuator or are those two different parts? I just ordered a OBDLink MX+, they had pretty good reviews.Thanks so much for your help.

I just installed a Rear-View-Safty backup camera on 2016 TC XL cargo van and isn’t working out for me. It is designed to take the place of one of the license plate lights but the camera points straight at the ground and I can’t see anything behind at all. Does anyone have any recommendations of an aftermarket one that works well? Thanks!

2016 TC/XL. Even with the selector switch in the middle on the dome light, it will not come on when I open drivers door?! Only when I unlock with remote or open sliding door (both sides) will it come on. Any help appreciated.

I have 2016 TC XL cargo that has the cutouts/caps on the front spoiler and wanting to see if anyone has installed the factory fogs in those spots? I’ve only had the van a few days so haven’t gotten down there and looked but do those need to be cut out or do they pop out? What about wiring and brackets? Thanks for any help!

Thanks Don. Yeah, the more I’ve been researching the more I’m leaning towards aftermarket. Do you suggest any certain brands on touchscreen units and backup cameras?

I have the basic AM/FM stereo in my 2016 XL but I’m wanting the SYNC unit with small display above it. Is that a straight up swap with the dash I have? Also, does the small display work with the factory back up camera I’m wanting to install as well? Thanks!
