  1. There is some very interesting reading on extended warranties and the psychology behind them that drives our actions.  If you're interested.
    Bottom line:  Seldom a real reason to consider them.  I have a 16 with 50k that's never had a single issue of any kind. 
    Sure a transmission could go out and you'd spend that much.    But you'd just be paying for it up front.
    Whether you ever use it or not.  And don't forget there are 100 ways to weasel out of part of the service bill for them. 

    if its been maintained (oil changes), then relax and enjoy it.  And do the tranny service drain.  ;)

      Thats what I am thinking. CarFAX looks like it was maintained regularly. Baby the transmission and hope for the best.

  2. It's pretty much all in the title. I am in Hawaii so everything is expensive but they want +/- $2500 for a 3 year comprehensive warranty. My heart says no but my brain says to consider it. Looking for input.
