2020 TC - XLT Cargo Van - Auxilliary Fuel Port Installation

Recommended Posts

Hi all

looking for any updated information or tutorials from anyone with a latest gen modification like this.

I'm converting a number of vans to micro campers and planning on installed Bison (from general components) 2KW heaters under the Pax Seat

Has anyone any suggestions for an aux fuel port for the tank. It's my understand that the Transits have one, but the TC do not. Can anyone confirm this before I start pulling things apart?

Thanks

Hi.

I know, this is bit too late, but I'd like to share how I did it with my TC 2021 Diesel.

European or at least Finnish diesel TC versions already have an auxiliary heater in the car. The auxiliary heater has its own suction line from the tank and I connected the diesel auxiliary heater directly to this line. I didn't cut the pipe, I ordered a branch connector to fit the standard connector. I used this connector:

The original connector is slightly different from the Trodo part, but they are compatible. Located on the eut side of the right rear tire, the original imput from the tank is the one on the right side of the pump in the picture.

The original connector can be easily removed by first unlocking it and then pressing a button to release it from the connector. The white clip on the connector in the picture is pulled out gently and on the other side is a release button which can be pressed to release the connector from the pump.

I hope this helps someone.
