nero.romulus
I'm getting increasingly frustrated with the 2012 Ford Transit Connect XLT that I bought almost a month ago. So it's been in the body shop for almost an entire month. The right sliding door came right off one day. All the hinges to that door had to be replaced and I had to buy a new latch. To save money, I had to buy parts from Ebay and a discount Ford OEM Parts website. And of course, I bought the wrong latch, but that's not the real issue. So after they were done trying to fix both sliding doors, they bring the van around to the front and neither sliding door would open. They finally KINDA fixed the problem. The left sliding door could open after replacing the inner handle. However, I had to pull the door towards the front of the vehicle just to get it to open properly and the techs can't figure it out. One of them thinks that a cable might've gotten stretched. And then the bottom hinge--or whatever it's called--on the right sliding door grinds up against the bottom track. I've been waiting to get back to work for over a month and I need advice. Who, in Denver, can I take this to in order to get it fixed properly? Or do I trade it in for something else? How can I fix this on my own, if I can?
