Not sure where to post this but I'm currently using a 2012 Transit at my workplace and the steering wheel column won't stop clicking when the vehichle is in motion or the column is bumped or when the door is slammed shut. Has been drinving me crazy for weeks as I know where the clicking is coming from in the column but I have no clue as to why it does this.

Some details:

Key doesn't have to be in the ignition for the sound to occur(door slam & bumping the wheel)

When in motion the clicking goes for about a miunte stops then restarts a few seconds later

Sound does stop when vehichle is at rest so it's not constant.

Currently at ~27,900 miles after getting oil change at ~25,000

Has different sound from directional.

Nothing else is plugged in

Standard Transit - only has manual shift option, roll windows, am/fm radio.

If you need more info I can explain more but this should be enough to get a rough idea as to what is wrong with it.
