valerias
Hello. We just bought a 2012 Ford Transit Connect with 59,000 miles. We were told it had no issues but only a few weeks after getting it we noticed a yellow wrench light will randomly come on in the dash. We took it into a Ford Service and after looking at it they said the transmission has something wrong as they noticed a lot of metal chunks and shavings in the area. They said we could continue to drive it as is but will likely need a replacement in the near future and quoted that at $4200. I called a couple transmission shops and they were quoting us for $2500. I assume the cheaper option is a rebuild vs a full replacement. Anyone have a similar issue and would you recommend a full replacement at Ford or a rebuild from a transmission specialist? Thanks! kevman500
I've got a 2012 XLT with 130k miles and tranny issues... was reading about the possibility of swapping out for a manual which would be awesome but I'm not seeing any success stories :( yet... Did you end up doing anything with it?
