mo_transit
I've been thinking of buying some E-track at a local shop and installing it where several dealers show - does anyone have good instructions (maybe PDF from manufacturer?) or pictures they could share? Dimensions, measurements, drill locations...any such help greatly appreciated.
ActiveIndy
Digging this question back up...anyone done this? Would like to have some e-track, but don't want to pay $700 for the Adrian poly panel system that includes it...
chrisc927
Lots of videos around. Most are for attaching to plywood but there are a few for attaching to metal wall/flooring. Saw a really good youtube video (just last week) of a guy attacking to metal flooring but can't find it now. Here's one to get you started. They address mounting to both metal & wood. Search around for more. As I said, there are a lot of videos. Also search for L Track and A Track. Similar products but mounting to metal would be the same. http://blog.uscargocontrol.com/how-to-install-e-track-fasteners/
ActiveIndy
Thanks! Not sure I'd trust self tapping metal screws...am thinking riv nuts are a better way to go.
pentaxian450
For handicap van tie downs, they use some form of T nuts with an extra wide backplate/nut combination. Check with handicap van modifiers for suppliers.
