cargo floor area

Hi all

Just got my TC XLT ... I love the surface texture and grippiness of the rear cargo 'mat'/floor covering, but unfortunately I need a smooth floor (IE no raised bumps in the floor). Two questions:

-Does anyone have an idea how to make a smooth floor? I'd like to somehow use 1" plywood (yeah, needs to be strong) but also fill in the gaps that will come between the metal bumps for noise purposes

-I really like whatever material the factory floor is made of, anyone know what it is/where to get it?

I'd prefer to make it myself as I need some custom mounts/cargo tie downs, planning on laying E-track on the floor as well.

Cheers

-Mo

I have installed a VanRug by BedRug. It's a carpet like surface made of plastic. It's backed with a closed cell foam that fills in the bumps. They also make a VanTred that I think is more like the factory floor. The floor is smooth and it's easy to slide things in and out. I can still feel the bumps under the rug if I'm crawling around in the back but it's is by no means uncomfortable.

Here is a link to the 2010 models: BedRug

The 2011 rug model is slightly different and numbered VRTC11 instead of VRTC10. So if you decide to go with a BedRug product make sure you order the right model for the year.

Hey, thanks for the reply. I'll have to check it out - definitely what I want in terms of padding in between the bumps.

Thanks again
