yea first time i was introduced to the ford transit connect was prolly 10 months ago when i startd my new job as a fleet mechanic for a company with 70+ of the ford transits, my first impression of them i thought they kind look like a mini dodge/merc/freightliner sprinter van, and since my company has so many of these vans i see all plus more of the problems with these van that iv seen postd in the fourm, the front brake pad wear in 5,000 miles, longest any 1 of my drivers can make them last is around 28,*** . and the cooling fans goin out at 15*** to 38*** miles all because the module is rite under the upper front core support and collects and holds water and road debris and shorts to power and back feeds to the fans and frys ther motors, iv had prolly 12 do that so far, iv had 4 with the trans lines go bad with under 25*** miles and sofar only lost 1 trans but it was at 32,***miles, 3 wheel bearings replaced, the best and most thrilling experince iv had with the ford transit is well all transit owners know is that how you open the hood..... well if u live in the south your lucky up here in the north we hav winters require road salt but yea the lock locks up internally after trying lube and air try and get it tome lose after an hour and im faced with taking my drill to the front of a 2010 ford transit with under 28*** miles. and thats not the kicker after i order the new lock assembly for the hood i expectd it to come with the rings to match it with the ingtion key but nope get a totaly diffrent key for that van now just to open the hood luckly iv only had to do this once so far

sorry but i had to vent about the 2010 and 2011 ford transits. if you havnt found out by now im a fleet mechanic for a company with ovr 250 cars, vans, and trucks, im from the chicagoland area been a anything with a motor freak had my first car at 13, had dirtbike too didnt last long after so many dumps and spills but didnt keep me off 2 wheels, even tho i own a chevy, i still hav a ford in my driveway 89 Tbird and sum times i hav 2 when i drive a company van home, and it just so happnd when i was online 2day i wonderd if ford transit fourm existd and well im here now but yea ill be around checking in possible post pics of sum repairs or break downs of repairs
