tworock
Hi guys, I am an old member over at Ford Truck Enthusiasts, and don't remember how I latched on to this site, but here I am. I have finally replaced my '93 Eddie Bauer AWD Extended 4.0L. with a base model Connect. The new truck was purchased in New Mexico, for use in the Western Suburbs of the Chicago area. The truck has a build date of 06/09, purchased October 2, 2010. One oddity: the accordion hose between the air filter and throttle body is dry rotted. Replacement part has been back ordered and looks like it will become available sometime after the third week of December. Note: CHECK YOURS. Drove the vehicle from New Mexico to Chicago and on the last measurable tank of gas on the trip, did the math on mileage and came up with 26.85 mph. The truck was empty except for two suitcases. If you have any recommendations on things that should be checked out right away, I'd like to hear your recommendations. I'm also a member at L.O.S.T. KJ, a site dedicated to Jeep Liberty owners, as my other vehicle is a 2006 Liberty CRD, a diesel for those not familiar. It appears that I'm now the owner of two exotic vehicles. It will take me a little time to get used to the subject specific headings of this forum, but so far, there is way more info here than over at FTE. My most pressing need at this time is floor mats. Has anybody purchased non-OEM mats that don't need to be cut down? Love to hear about them. Looking forward to everybody's input over the next several years. tworock
Another thing. I am a painting contractor and am interested in layout/storage solutions for painters and carpenters to optimize the available space. How do you best utilize your space?
