jerryw50 Posted August 17, 2015 Share Posted August 17, 2015 Hello...I'm interested in purchasing a pre-2014 model for light camping with my wife and our 2 grandkids. I have some questions about selecting a vehicle to start with. First, I like what the Eurocampers come up with solutions for family light camping. They have many more modifiable MPV vehicles at their disposal. The only close vehicle that I've been able to find is the pre-2015 Ford Transit Connect XLT. I like to get the ost for the least. So, I want a very low budget purchase and build that I can do myself. I do have some questions. First, how reliable are the vehicles with sifnificant mileage? The lowest cost used vehicles that I've seen are very high mileage. Most likely they were used as courier applications. So, outside of normal vehicle weear and tear, I'm asking how reliable is the engine, transmission and brakes? If those have to be rebuilt or replaced what are some estimates?
