Philly Transit Posted July 23 Share Posted July 23 2012 Rare Manual Transmission Ford Transit Connect XLT $9,500 Purchased this blue van about a month ago from the prior owner who converted this from auto to manual transmission with Ford Focus parts. It was driveable and handled really well. Interior is clean / pristine. Prior owner put in lots of new parts as well. This is the model with extra high ceilings. We’re finding out more about the car and not sure we want to invest more in it. It is not driveable at the moment and at the mechanic. It needs a new clutch which is quoted to be $2-3k. The speedometer and odometer don’t work. There may be a computer issue with how things are hooked up electrically. This car may not pass emissions in Philly - which is why we’re looking to sell it. Odometer shows almost 190k miles but again may not be accurate due to the computer issue. There may be other issues - but again it was driveable before the clutch went out. Good project car if you know what to do with it. Pickup in South Philly - you will need to tow it, or pay the mechanic to fix the clutch. Clean title.
