hi, everyone. nice to see a forum about a new vehicule i am thinking about buying. i am the owner of a ford ranger and was thinking of trading it in for a transit connect xlt 5 passenger. i am not in a rush to trade my ranger and was thinking about going for a smaller engine but nothing actually hooked me until now...the only thing that bothers me about this new truck is the towing capacity. even my old toyota echo hatchback had a towing capacity of 700 pds. i will further investigate this whit ford of canada. this could be a good vehicule for me to modify since i do a lot of kayaking and usualy sleep in the back of my ranger! sorry if my english is not perfect i usualy am french speaking (nobody perfect).

Lulu..

Your english is WAY better than my French!

Welcome to the group from a south Floridian. I had a Ranger several years ago, and thought it was a pretty good little truck (until it got hit on the interstate!) I think you'd like the TC if you like the Ranger. As far as sleeping in the back, a lot better than in an open bed, or even in one with a camper top. LOTS more room!

I had a 2007 Ranger and it just did not work for me. I took it back at end of lease and waited for my TC which I ordered in March. This is exactly the kind of truck I've needed for my estimating, install and touchup work (I have crews that do most of my company's work - hardwood flooring) . You can carry a full sheet of plywood if you slide the passenger seat forward and put it in on a diagonal.
