2014 TC XLT Remote Start Programming Mode

Recommended Posts

Hey all. Trying to see if anyone knows about getting the factory installed remote start system into programming mode.

Backstory. I have 2 one-way remote start remotes and both work just fine, but the system is programmed (due to Ford "safety" reasons) to turn off the engine when any doors are opened.
This is quite annoying, and I would greatly prefer to be able to have it running, get in, put the key in and to 'Run', and keep the engine on. Less wear and tear on both my starter, as well as the A/C system (since I'm usually using remote start for cabin cooling).

I have read that you should be able to get into programming mode and disable the setting flag for 'turn off when door open', and it will work like I want.

I have located the remote start module in the driver footwell area, and see it is a Ford DNA9 module.

The video I found on YouTube shows that there is an 'override button' located near the remote start module, but I am unable to find it on my TC.
Is it down there somewhere that I just haven't found, or is there not one on the DNA9 module?

Any assistance in this would be great.

Thanks very much.
