BrettSUP
Hello - I have a 2012 Connect XLT with a driver side locking problem. I disassembled the lock, cylinder, and handle assembly to vinyl wrap the exterior. Upon reassembly, the door doesn’t open from either the outside or inside handle. Its acting like it is remaining locked despite actuating the unlock from the key, key fob, or interior switch. I have power in the door because the interior lock switch flips back and forth. I inspected the cable connector and it looks okay (but did not run a voltmeter on it yet.) I fear I have either a mechanical obstruction at the strike on the door jamb or somehow created a quiet door actuator failure. Anyone have any bright ideas what I screwed up? I can’t open the door because it remains locked. If I take apart the door actuator assembly (and basically destroy it) from the inside, can I get access to the jamb and open the door? Any other way to trip the unlock on the door? Really appreciate the help.
