  1. I dropped it to replace the stabilizer bar bushings. Also, not fun.
  2. So I got it back in. I had to pull the column to get the splines started. Once you lightly tap them the first 1/4" in they just slide in. That first 1/4" is a mother when the column is still attached.
  3. I had to lower the sub frame on my 2013 transit connect. I removed the lower steering bolt as I was supposed to but when I dropped the subframe, instead of the steering shaft separating from the steering rack, the splined upper portion separated. I have since removed the shaft from the steering rack but I cant for the life of me get the splined shaft back into the column. It looks to be keyed and I think I've found the marks but I'm not sure if this thing was pressed on or what. It had grease on the splines so I assumed it was meant to move in and out. The splined shaft seems to be made of plastic. Any Input is appreciated.
