  1. We have a 2011 TC. It has the fixed windows in the sliding doors. We want to convert it to windows that flip open. Our Ford parts guy found the factory flip windows we need but is unsure about what hardware that is needed. Have any of you done this conversion? It should be simple. I just want to get the facts together before I commit to the glass. Thanks
  2. After I installed the wheels I got the dreaded air pressure light. I had the correct pressure but the light still came on. My wife took the TC to the dealer for another issue and mentioned the light. The service guy scanner the tires with a computer device and it solved the problem. I keep the tires at the Ford recommended pressure and never tried anything else, so I don't know what would happen if I veried the pressure.
  3. VOXX MG3 16X7 wheels with Michelin Pilot Exalto (255/55R-16 ) tires. We bought everything at Discount tire direct (on line). This included mounting kit, new TPMS sensors and free replacement certificates. Total was $1,130.00. The looks, quietness and handling are awesome.
  4. I'm thinking of getting some custom wheels and tires. Wheels are American Racing 95 Estrella 16X7 5-4.5/4.25. Tires are P225/55R-16 Toyo Eclipse. I'll have my stock sensors installed in the new wheels and run the same air pressure. Is there any flaws in my decision?
  5. I just adjusted the air pressure and all is OK.
  6. Sun, Oct 31 Just returned from purchasing and picking up our silver XLT wagon in Bozeman, MT,driving approximately 600 milesone way. Silver was the color we wanted, and at model year-end, it was less costly to pick it up ourselves than dealing with local dealers. The configuration of this vehicle is just what we need for our lifestyle (we're in our 60s), so impressing people with plush and speed is unimportant. Utility and practicality, along with size and fuel economy, are our main concerns. The tire sensor came on not long after leaving Deer Lodge, MT. We did several visual inspections; tires appeared to be OK,and there were no problems. We understand that it could be the spare. I will have to learn to adjust for the post in the rear doors relating to rear visibility as a vehicle directly behind can be totally hidden from view. It is very early in our Ford TransCon experience, and certainly we're hoping it will be positive for the long-term. We are curious about the pressure to purchase a very costly extended warranty plan. Is it fear mongering or primarily a huge revenue generating thing for Ford? We did not purchase one except for the key replacement. The high-end plan was almost $3,500! The modest plan was $1,992 which is nothing to sneeze at either. We will want to obtain a dog barrier for the veicle -- does anyone have info regarding such that will fit the TransCon?
