  1. RIGHT... finally got the sodding spoiler off!!!!!!!! Christ that silicon stuff sticks, heated it up with hair dryer and slowely eased it off.... Only problem now, is the silicon.... has anybody got ANY idea's how I can get this stuff off without damaging the paint surface? P.S. The van looks a millions times better without the spoiler
  2. I'll be having another crack at it tomorrow, 08/02/11 so will let you know how i get on.... got to try and source some fishing wire from somewhere. Would white spirit take some of it's stickyness away or am i living in dream world?
  3. Traded in my 2008 220LX for a 59 Plate Connect Sport 200L.... had the stripes removed by the dealer prior to collecting it, however they didn't get time to get the spoiler off. I had a go today, first chance I've had since getting the van. Only 3 allen heads holding it on, out they come easy enough. However Ford have used what looks like mastic to stick it down at three points to the roof. Now I'm not a small guy, 16.5 stone and the thing will not budge 1mm!!!!!! The middle section has parted company with the roof ok, however the outer sports, which are around 10inches in length, are like conrete. Has ANYBODY got ANY idea of anything I can apply to weaken the mastic's grip? Am desperate to get the thing off as I'm having the back doors wrapped shortly and it woudl just look odd!.... Many thanks in advance
