I have a 2010 with 156,000 miles on it. For the most part it has been an amazing workhorse. survived three years working in the hot vegas heat. But recently, in the past 14K miles, it developed a slipping of the 3rd gear. It happened so randomly. I took it to a transmission specialist who went to is resources and discovered that the overdrive node can become defective over time. He replaced for $500. Drove it and said it was great. The very next day it did it again. Still very random but quite jolting. When it happens, it drop out of gear to neutral, then shift back and it is fine. I can go days without an issue, then BOOM!, 3-4 times in one drive. Very random. I took it to Ford and they drove it for two days; hot, cold, up hill, down hill, and never found it. (of course. elusive auto mechanical gremlins are like that).
Does anybody have any thoughts or feedback?
