There's no wall socket visible so I doubt that there's one been in there. Do they usually have the mini lighter sockets on the back ?
-
How would I know if there's one of them placed into the van somewhere if I'm unable to see it mate as surely the wall socket has to be visible to allow access to plug anything in

There is a small cigarrete lighter socket, a mini version just above the rear door on the inside. Is this what you mean. I have no idea where that's going to as the other person decided to fibre glass all of the sides and floor in the back. Could this possibly be the drain

I'm not vehicle savvy mate and I wouldn't know where to check with a multimeter, never used one. The vehicle doesn't have aircon in it

I've not long bought a connect tddi 2004 and it used to have an isolator on the vehicle. I wanted to get rid of this as I couldn't even get into the van without using the isolator key first and had to keep inputting the radio code every time I turned it off. So I disconnected the isolator in the hope it was just for extra security measures. Went out to start the van the next day and the battery was Dead. So I then decided to disconnect the hands free kit and ripped it all out including the fuses in a hope that was causing the drain. Again, went out to start it this morning and still dead. The only thing I've got left as an extra on the van is a powered extractor fan, but it only operates when the switch on the dash is pressed. Can it still draw power even if the switch is not on? If not then what could be draining my battery all the time ? I've had the battery checked and it's all good. As much help here would be much appreciated. Thanks

Is it a common problem if it's the windscreen and how would I know if it's that

How do I go about checking with a bright light, not done that method before. And is the windscreen seal a big problem, if so, how does it come in

I've recently bought my 2004 lwb connect and noticed today after all the rain that there is a puddle in the passengers footwell. I don't see anything dripping from the roof and felt underneath the glovebox and found the black material is wet. I've been told a few possible causes but I'm unsure of the best way to carry out the repairs on each. Below is a few of the things people have said that could be the cause. I'm looking for advice and info on how to sort these possible causes and if there's any I've missed out please let me know. Thanks.... Roof gutter seals Pollen filter housing Heate matrix Door seals. ( don't think it's this though )

Isolator removal
Welshdean replied to Welshdean's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Key Fobs & Remote Start
I don't know how to put pictures up on here but if you type into Google... Van isolator key, you will see what I mean. It's a weird shape and red. -
I've recently bought a van and it has got one of those red plastic isolator keys that you have to put into the connection at the front of the bonnet in order to open the doors and also be able to start the vehicle. It's a pain in the arse and I would like to get rid of it. What would I need to do to get rid of it and have the vehicle working off the fob and key ? Am I likely to encounter any problems if it's removed as I'm wondering if they've put it on there in the past to fix an issue of some sort ? Thanks

Method of removing it. Surely I don't just kick it through and slap an ugly metal plate on there and weld around it.

I've recently bought a van and it has got a roof extractor fan. I'm finding that there is water leaking inside from it and as I live on a hill I thought that might be why. But I looked earlier and found that there is rust around the edges of the plastic insert and wondered if that's where it's actually leaking from and not the fan itself. If I remove it what would be the best method. Thanks

Hi everyone. Two days ago I bought a transit connect tddi 2004 and I'm not sure if there's any issues with it as I'm paranoid by every sound I hear lol. I've been told that this van is chain driven but know nothing about what to expect so below are a list of my concerns and I'd be very grateful if someone could shed some light on this please. Thanks I started the van this morning and drove off and found that there was a very slight ticking noise. At around 5-10 mph you could very faintly here it but when the vehicle was running at normal speeds it was no longer noticeable. What could be the issue or is this normal ? Also, it seems as though the gearbox is very close together. I don't mean the acrual gear range, I mean the stick itself. I was driving the first time and aimed to go from 3rd to 4th and went into 2nd instead . It seems very close. Is this normal ? When travelling at around 80mph it feels as though there's a vibration through the steering wheel , but this only happens at high speeds. I'm on 15" wheels so not sure if it's cos of them. And finally, how do I stop the rain coming in through the roof extractor fan ?. I live I a hill and it's a nightmare. I got not use for it but don't fancy having a welded patch on the roof . Any suggestions please ? Looking for any advice. Thanks
