  1. Thanks. I've not knowingly used any silicone stuff but not had the van very long and not sure what previous owners used. Maybe worth a wipe down with something to remove any silicone (or other polish) that might be there. Now that leads onto an obvious question turps/meths/soap 'n water/white spirit?
  2. Thanks but no, I mean the rear barn doors on my Tourneo.
  3. Greetings I have a 2008 Tourneo and from day 1 have struggled to pinpoint the source of squeaking rear doors. I know there is some flexing there and I'll be happy to apply the appropriate anti-squeak surface when I can find out where it's coming from. I've taped some fabric on the door edges where they come into contact with the door rubbers but it still squeaks. It seems mostly to come from the top centre catches but no matter how I try and cover the offending surfaces...... it still squeaks. I had the same condition on a previous Connect so it must be a well know condition. Anyone else had, and solved, this problem?
  4. I'm planning to diy a small, compact camper - just for me so it's going to be quite a simple affair. I need a base vehicle - having looked at just about everything on the market I'm down to a choice between a VW Caddy and a LWB Connect. I keep changing my mind which way to go - I was convinced to go the Connect route until I read some horrendous tales of tyre wear, alternator wirings, wheel alignment etc etc and it's rather got me worried. On the other hand, the VW Caddy forums have some pretty sad tales. So, I know you're all Connect fans but convince me that it's the way I should go. Tony
