  1. For handicap van tie downs, they use some form of T nuts with an extra wide backplate/nut combination. Check with handicap van modifiers for suppliers.
  2. My Ford Transit Connect has AdvanceTrac RSC. Is there an easy way it can be disabled? Sometime, when going uphill on a slippery road, it climbs better with some wheel spinning, but there is no control on my van to disable the AdvanceTrac RSC.
  3. Good morning everybody. I just acquired a Ford Transit Connect so I could carry my wife's electric wheelchair when we're going out. Previously, I was driving a Chevrolet Express van with a 5.7 l. engine, but the gas bill was "killing" me. So far, I've had the Transit for two weeks and I'm pleased with it. I get about 9 l/100 km compared to 18 or 19 l/100 km. Unfortunately, I kind of miss all the roominess I had in the big GM van, but concessions had to be made since fuel price is only going to go up in the future. Right now, I'm in the process of dealing with the Québec government to have a grant for a lowered floor in the back to make access easier. This should take a few months, but as things are progressing, I'll keep you all informed since it could potentially help other handicap people. Yves
