Hi, just joined the forum when I was searching to see if Ford had decided to give the TC a TDCI diesel option. This seems unintelligent and out of touch with reality for them. IMO, people who own small businesses do not fall under the category of Americans who still believe that all diesels perform like GM's failed gas block converted diesels in the 80's. It's the best option for pulling a load. In my personal business, I could manage with a smaller vehicle, but I would not give up the storage room of a full size TD van for equal fuel costs from a gasoline van. TD engines can handle a load without a drastic decrease in fuel cost- but not so with gasoline.
I've always been interested in the TC when I first read articles about it coming over here, and I'll keep up my interests. I'd just hope to see it get some respect as a platform and not be confined to a single engine/trans option. I'd also surely hope that the dual clutch trans makes its way into the later models. I'd jump for joy for an RS version to use as a daily driver to replace my wagon. As far as the work van goes, Ford is going to have to do a lot better with the engine options. Not even the all electric would fit with what I do.
