Hello my name is Dave Hall, long time for owner and very pleased with all of the vehicles I've owned. I'm disabled, Multiple Sclerosis. Prior to the disabiltiy I drove in Public Transit....40 foot long Gillig Phantoms. I still function pretty well if I'm rested very well. When I go bad it's double vision, which is what caused my commercial driver license to go away.. So, with pension in hand I want to get my hands on a Transit Connect with a diesel and 5 or 6 speed manual gear box. Reason: I've had my Focus, its the second the first was a 2002 model for many happy miles. The Transit Connect has the same 2.0 liter engine with a slush box. Somewhat heavier vehicle than a four door focus. With a 5 speed this little car will scoot. I love that. But an automatic in a van? I can't see it. Even a small diesel with a 5 speed manual would be great.
Who from Ford looks at this board? How about one spec'd for the UK brought over here? Doable I would think, and there appears to be significant interest here. Electric isn't gonna do it for a lot of us.
I am hoping to get some feedback, but mostly I'd like to see one available sometime. Want make an RV out of it. I hope to talk soon.
Dave Hall
