  1. I really hope that Ford sees this forum. It would sell one (or more) to me if I could get a diesel and 5 speed manual gear box. I see from the other forum that the Transit is being built at Kansas City. With a diesel. I may need to loook for this soon. I want to build one as an RV somehow, this is going to take a little research, and them comes the funding aspect. But I will keep my eyes and ears open. I'm lookinh forward to good news. Dave Hall
  2. Hello my name is Dave Hall, long time for owner and very pleased with all of the vehicles I've owned. I'm disabled, Multiple Sclerosis. Prior to the disabiltiy I drove in Public Transit....40 foot long Gillig Phantoms. I still function pretty well if I'm rested very well. When I go bad it's double vision, which is what caused my commercial driver license to go away.. So, with pension in hand I want to get my hands on a Transit Connect with a diesel and 5 or 6 speed manual gear box. Reason: I've had my Focus, its the second the first was a 2002 model for many happy miles. The Transit Connect has the same 2.0 liter engine with a slush box. Somewhat heavier vehicle than a four door focus. With a 5 speed this little car will scoot. I love that. But an automatic in a van? I can't see it. Even a small diesel with a 5 speed manual would be great. Who from Ford looks at this board? How about one spec'd for the UK brought over here? Doable I would think, and there appears to be significant interest here. Electric isn't gonna do it for a lot of us. I am hoping to get some feedback, but mostly I'd like to see one available sometime. Want make an RV out of it. I hope to talk soon. Dave Hall
