I have a work van with a full decal on the back window of my 2022 Transit Connect, and I want to remove the rear wiper entirely because the rear view is blocked anyways. I noticed that if I pop the cap at the base of the wiper arm, there appears to only be a nut holding it in place. Do I have to do anything other than remove that nut? I saw some videos online of people replacing cracked arms where it looked like it took a lot of force to pull it off even after removing the nut, and I dont know if I should get other tools to prevent damaging the decal. I also wonder if I should get some kind of protective cap to cover the now exposed bolt so it doesnt become this big visible rusting thing sticking out?
