I just purchased a 2016 Transit Connect cargo van and when to change the air filter today and the hood won’t open. The leaver has no tension on it but I can see that the cable is still connected. I took the trim panel off on the drivers side and tried pulling the cable with a pair of pliers but the hood wouldn’t open. Any suggestions on how to open the hood so I can figure out what’s wrong?

Can you tell me if there is somewhere on the drivers side to tap into a switched 12v power supply?

Just purchased a 2016 Transit Connect and have added a new radio. I’m in the process of adding a backup camera and this thread has helped a great deal. Do I need to disconnect the battery before I unplug anything from the BCM to tap the reverse and park wires?
