  1. On my newly acquired 2010 transit connect, I found that both the muffler and resonator had large holes in them which made the van very loud. I was shocked at how difficult it was to buy these two parts. Even the Ford dealer said they don’t know when They would them in stock again, apparently this vehicle use a lot of usual parts that were not found in other Ford vehicles. I am located in the United States and I realize this may be different in other parts of the world. Long story short I went online and found a company calls Rockauto.com, and they had everything in stock, gave me the option of aluminized or stainless steel components, and the prices were a fraction of what the dealer wanted. Very happy with the price, turnaround time, and quality from rockauto.com. I also found it interesting, that when joining parts together, traditionally one pipe fits into the other with a standard “U” bolt, not so on the transit, it actually uses a, what I would call, a coupler with two bolts that clamp down onto same size pipes. This is not a normal fitting on USA made cars that I have ever seen I wonder why the system is used compared to the traditional “U” bolt?
  2. Hello all, I recently purchased a 2010 transit connect and notice the rear washers don’t work. The previous owner had shrink wrap over most of the van so I don’t think the rear washers have not been used in a long time. Before I go digging deep, I thought I would check here first to see if there’s common issues I should be looking for. When using the front windshield washers does the back automatically wash? Or am I missing something like a separate switch? Is there a separate reservoir for the back in the front? At this point I assume one washer button does both front and back and I assume everything comes from the front reservoir which tells me I either have a clock nozzle, or a kinked tubing which must be incredibly long! Would love to hear feedback from other owners please.

Hi all! New member here. I ordered a new transit connect years ago when I had a small remodeling business I had this and a large box truck actually loved the transit, I even transported vintage motorcycle in the back to different rallies. I recently bought a 2010 transit connect with 160,000 miles to use as winter transportation so that I don’t ruin my new Mustang. I already have a few questions but will post them separately. I did just recently put a new muffler and resonator and tail pipe on this vehicle I was shocked at how difficult parts were to find!
