For me, shipping and tax comes to $101.78.  Once you crack the seal,  it's exposed to oxygen, hydrogen, and ultraviolet light.  How long can you store it after opening?

If it's 'bag in box' it's not exposed to anything when you open it  -  Same reason wine in the box doesn't go bad in your refrigerator

Not sure how you'd be exposing it to hydrogen anyway  -  The atmosphere is 21% oxygen, 78% nitrogen and 1% argon  -  If there was any hydrogen present, it would be at the very top of everything, far from reach at sea level, since it's the lightest gas of them all

I've never tried wine in the box.  We have Trader Joe's in this part of the country.  $2 wine in a bottle, with a cork not screw cap.

If anyone is wondering - do not put a 6 gallon box of oil in your refrigerator.  Someone might have a glass accidentally.

You never know  -  They might find they like it better than Trader Joe's in the bottle . . . . with a cork!  ?

That Trader Joe's wine is barely passable for cooking.  And for that, it's overpriced.  Since wine in a gallon jug or bag-in-a-box would cost less per unit of measurement.

Anybody come across any good deals on oil or filters?

The synthetic blend in a 6 gallon box is a lot less money.  $40.99  https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=8121044&jsn=12

24 quarts.  That's good for 4 oil changes, plus a little extra for topping off between oil changes.  For some people, that can last 4 years.
