Parental control over the Transit Connect

It pays to read the owner's manual. You can program your second or additional keys to limit your TC's speed and place limitations on the radio volume and cause it to mute for certain circumstances.  I forget the details right now but it would be very good for a parent of teenagers. The limits only occur when the TC is operated by the limited program key AND none of the "master" keys are within transponder range. So when junior gets his driver's license, you can give him his own key! And have less worries.

When 'Junior' got his drivers license, we out him into a $1500 car.  That worked out so well (never a ticket nor an accident in his first years) that when our daughter turned 16,we put her in a $3500 car . . . . which she wrecked three different times
