Alarm systems

This topic started because the KARR alarm I had installed is causing me a lot of grief. A good part of the time, randomly, my alarm will go off when I unlock/disarm the Transit. The alarm installer says that it is because the key unlock button sends too short of a signal to the vehicle. It's fast enough to trigger the door unlocks (it's designed by Ford to do that) but the signal is so short that it barely triggers the KARR alarm to turn off. So the doors unlock and that sets off the alarm. But it's random; it only does it sometimes and I've not been able to find any pattern. Close or far, from the front or back, holding the button a bit longer or shorter.

There must be Transits in Europe, where they've been around for a while, that have functioning alarms. Do you have one that you like?
