Quick and free 1" front suspension lift

Recommended Posts

Disclaimer- don't try this, it's dangerous

I found a way to easily lift the front of my tc for a little extra ground clearance.

Takes about 20 min with just hand tools

Remove the wheel, loosen the bolt that clamps the knuckle to the strut and slide the knuckle down the strut about 3/4".

I was able to gain about 1" of ground clearance. The car has no change in handling and I'm really happy with the outcome.

This gives the knuckle slightly less strut to clamp to so it could potentially bend the bottom of the strut if you hit something really hard but I don't see it being much of an issue.

Don't miss TrannyLover's other pro-tips! Including:

- Remove unnecessary weight and drag to improve fuel economy. Just remove the rear passenger side wheel!

- DIY window tinting using black duct tape!

- Run a hose from your exhaust into your vehicle cabin to reduce pollution and waste!

And remember kids, Tranny's need love too!
