  1. Hi All, I'm a brand new member here and hope to fit into this band of brothers and sister transit enthusiasts, so I feel a bit guilty starting with a problem. I purchased a 2010 transit about 6 months ago. At the time I didnt think about this issue as it did this from the veru beginning. Otherwise it runs beautifully in every sense. Here is the problem: when I turn off the key all of the electrics remain powered (radio, powerpoints, headlights, cabin lights, dashboard display etc). I can turn everythinf off accept the dash's display. I've tried the following: Pulled the ignition cylinder as it seemed a bit loose, completely removed the ignition switch, detached all of the wiring harnesses in the steering column (I removed the shroud so I dont think I missed anything, sequentially removed all of the fuses in the passenger compartment as well as those under the hood. Nothing seemed to change the fundamental problem. Now I just disconnect the battery when I park overnight or the battery will drain by the next morning. I'm really baffled. I could see electrical components failing but remaining on is a mystery to me. Could I have a relay switch stuck on? Grounding wiring? Any insight would be deeply appreciated.
