  1. I am having the same problem.... with the door & lock noise, I taped off the contact at the door the noise has stopped so how difficult is it to take out the door lock?
  2. Weather tech Now makes Floor Liners for the Transit Connect, Just got them today They fit Perfectly!!!
  3. Gas Cap Stuck again threads broke off broke off from the top cap , dealer replaced it have not had a problem since>
  4. My Door weatherstrip is falling off at 22000 miles, definitely an issue
  5. I Started my transit this morning realized I forgot something in the house shut it off came out seconds lateer & the vehicle would not start , checked the reset button for the fuel line, no go all the power is there but the security code does lite up on the dash, can't wait to go check it in the am this may be my problem as well!!! I'll let you knowquote name='paskenta' timestamp='1318371311' post='3399'] I JUST DISCOVERED THAT THE SECURITY SYSTEM ON MY 2010 T/C BLOCKED ALL ATTEMPTS TO START. IT ALL BEGAN WHEN I TRIED TO START MY T/C AFTER IT HAD SAT UNUSED FOR SOME TIME. IT BEHAVED LIKE THE BATTERY WAS LOW. I TRIED A JUMPER CABLE, NO GO. THEN I TRIED CHARGING THE BATTERY FOR SEVERAL HOURS, NO GO. VISITED THE LOCAL FORD DEALER HERE AND DESCRIBED THE SYMPTOMS: FAILURE TO CRANK, WITH A FLASHING ALARM SYSTEM LAMP ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. OWNERS MANUAL HINTS AT SOME SORT OF KEY PROBLEM. TRIED BOTH KEYS SAME NO GO. TOW TRUCK CARTED IT TO DEALER. FEW HOURS LATER DEALER HASN'T A CLUE. FORD TECHNICIAN AT A LOSS FOR SOLUTION. HE CONTACTS FACTORY FOLKS WHOM RECOMMEND HE READ A SPECIAL SERVICE BULLETIN, "OASIS SPECIAL SERVICE MESSAGE 21205" AHA MOMENT...NOT MENTIONED ANYWHERE ELSE, THAT THE SECURITY SYSTEM ON SEVERAL FORD PRODUCTS, HAS A LIMIT TO ITS COMPUTER TIMER FOR KEEPING TRACK OF THE TIME THE KEY HAS BEEN IN THE OFF POSITION. LIKE IF YOU LET YOUR T/C SIT FOR MORE THAN 50 DAYS WITHOUT STARTING IT. SHOULD YOU NOT START YOUR FORD PRODUCT FOR A PERIOD GREATER THAN 50 DAYS, LIKE IN MY CASE IT TURNED OUT TO BE 52 DAYS, THE COMPUTER BLOCKS ALL ATTEMPTS TO START BY ANY MEANS. THE CODES SHOW YOUR COMPUTER KAPUT. FORTUNATELY WITHIN THE SPECIAL SERVICE MESSAGE THEY DESCRIBE THE SIMPLE SOLUTION...DISCONNECT THE NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE FOR 30 SHORT SECONDS, AND ALL IS WELL AGAIN. UNFORTUNATELY, THE COST OF THE TOW, THE TECHNICIANS TIME , ETC ARE CATIGORICALLY DENIED BY FOMOCO IN THE SPECIAL SERVICE MESSAGE. IF ANYONE HAS READ ANYTHING BY FORD TO BE AWARE OF THIS ISSUE, I WOULD LIKE TO SEE IT. AS FORD TRANSIT CONNECT OWNERS/OPERATORS I BELIEVE WE SHOULD HAVE HAD SOME WARNING FROM FORD AS TO HOW MUCH TIME WE CAN LET OUR VEHICLES REMAIN IDLE. PASS THIS INFO ALONG TO OTHER FORD OWNERS, COULD SAVE THEM AN EMBARRASSING MOMENT AND NEEDLESS EXPENSES.
  6. Thanks for the info, I did remove the bulb from the light assembly, the dealer did not have it , either did my local auto supplier but after your input and a little more research, I found the bulbs at autozone
  7. Just went to the dealer to pick up a light bulb for a rear stop light that burnt out... They told me that I couldnt get one and I would have to opurcase the whole assembly for $82.00 !!!??? when they found out the milege was 24000 they said it was still under waranty , to put the assmbly back in the hole so they could take a pickture to show there was no damage and they could order a bulb! What up with that ford ???
  8. Nice graphics, How is the rear window vision an do the wipers still work?
  9. Has Anyone had problems with the Gas cap???? on Two Different occasion I have had to use a pair of channel locks to get the gas cap off. The first time I thought it was just a fluke. The Second time the guy at the gas station says he has seen the same problem on two other transit connects that have come in for gas.
  10. I purchased a transit In October for my primary work van. I replaced a 2003 Dodge grand Caravan cargovan, In the past 30 years I Have owned a Ford a Econoline, Chevy, Dodge Ram Vans and a Ford Aerostar. This by far has been the Best Handling van I have ever owned . Its gone trough snow this week (Detroit Michigan.) With 6000 mile on it so Far it appears to be solid And I am looking forward to many more years of performance. Equipped w advanced trac w roll stability the van does not appear to be top heavy even during a recent close call ( swerving out of a potential accident )
  11. I Contaced Weather Tech as well , The transit id too new in the states . Transit owners need to request them on the contact us form,on weather techs sight . They will only start making them when they see a demand.
