To the best of my memory, the dome lights are small wedge lights.

Safelite wanted $500+ installed.  Bought one to do myself.

On further inspection two of the mounting bolts were bottoming out just before tightening.  Replaced them with shorter bolts and now all is tight as an anchor.

Those rails shouldn't have noticeable wind noise because there's only a few square inches cutting through the wind. My ladder rack bars do have some extra wind noise & MPG hit, though, even with that "spoiler" on the front side of the first bar. But then, running General Grabber AT2's in 215/65R16 had already lowered my mileage a bit anyway (after adjusting for the speedometer/odometer difference due to the larger tire diameter), lol.

Those raised rails look pretty nice, though!

Bought the TC in 17 and the Fusion wheels soon after. But couldn't bring myself to spend $1,000 AND not use the OEM tires so i waited till NOW (42,000 miles) to get them mounted.
Liked them when I got them and love them now.  They remind me of the old "turbine" wheels from the 60's and 70's that you'd see on really nice custom vans, but with a bit of modern twist.
    And cheap.
Don't notice significant ride degradation from the 235/45/18 tires but they sure stick nice (summer tires). Going to put winter tires on the stockers.

i went with the class 2 for 1 reason. Weight.
My 2" insert/ball weighs a lot more than the 1'1/4" setup,  and so does the bigger framework of the class 3 versus 2.
Why hang 20lb (guessing) extra lbs off the back of a light duty vehicle when you can never use the extra hd factor?
Maybe the extras if you'll really use them.

MLB got a reaction from operating engineer O/O in Larger Wheels
Taller compared to the rubber bands you see on some cars where they've gone too big with the wheels.
Those are HARDLY that.  And these are light vehicles.
Unless you looked up his specific tire you are using generic diatmeter specs that can in fact change dramatically from tire line to tire line within a manufacturers product lines, much less among manufacturers.  Not hard to find .5" diameter difference in the "Same size" tires among the choices.  With motorcycles you can look at lower or raise seat height a little by choosing a tire with a different diameter, all while keeping the same size tire.
I get your paranoia with bigger wheels, but you're overstating the problems.  Lots of us have been upsizing for decades and we're still here and have never broken a wheel or flattened at tire on a pothole.  You would be correct if we were talking about putting 20's on this vehicle, but nobody is.
You mention that as you're older and drive easier that your transmission and brakes last longer.  My TC is a delivery vehicle in (slow speed) city use over mostly pretty good streets.  When there potholes, I steer around them.  Or brake to slow down.
Think how much abuse your wheels take (or don't) is any different than your tranny/brakes when you driver easy?

Front drive car and rear sway replaced as well. Different beast.  I've had 2 miata's, still miss the MSM with FM stuff. Looking at the ND's now, the old school  "tuner car" mods from BBR is VERY interesting. As is the 250hp turbo (5-7psi boost!!)

Sway bar for body roll, but heavier sway bar with less roll means more transfer of the load to the tires, meaning earlier loss of traction at the limit.  Leaning on the suspension actually gives you MORE traction in corning.  At the point the suspension stops extending (leaning), the load transfers to the tire side walls and when those flex as much as they can, the tire loses traction suddendly  and decisively.
Meaning it feels better in normal driving but if you ever are in a max cornering situation (too fast into a turn) your absolute limits are reduced.  The first time I put bigger, "handling" sway bars on a VW GTI I had made it into an absolute go-cart on the road. Felt like you were velcro'd to the road.  But the first time i cornered fast, on a reducing radius turn I completely spun out as the tires broke loose considerably earlier than it did before the sway bars.
    No free lunches with physics.

You're wasting oil that could easily go 4 -5 times that mileage.

Bright yellow adjuster right on top. One of the best designs for ease of adjustment I've come across. And the knob takes hex keys or has screwdriver slots in the bottom of the hex recess. Here's a photo of it on my 2015 TC
