    Thanks, I'll order a pair.
  2. New 2018 FTC XLT Cargo Van LWB

Thanks for checking and posting the pictures. I'm sure we will figure it out. Thanks
  3. New 2018 FTC XLT Cargo Van LWB

Hi TC_Andy, Looks great! I'm waiting for my special order, it's currently in N.J. waiting for a train ride to Michigan. Maybe you could answer a question? I see you ordered the Upfitter Wiring Harness. Have you found out yet what this includes? I know on the full size Transit and Pickups it includes Switches on the dash. I also ordered it but no one. including the dealer has any knowledge, and no one on this forum has ordered it besides me and you. So, if you could please take a look and let us know what it includes that would be great! Thanks, Tom
  4. So far, everything in the system looks normal. I checked a whole batch coming to Michigan including mine. They have made it to port in N.J. and are starting to move through the system. I can specifically check the whereabouts with a VIN if anyone is interested..
  5. Yes! Actually my comfort leads just came today! I've been trying out the charger, it's great!
  6. Has anyone replaced their under-hood battery with a high quality AGM battery? When I look online for 2016/2017 Transit Connect batteries it doesn't seem like anyone lists them, maybe the size is weird? I have an ARB Portable Fridge Freezer I'd like to run for short trips and I'd feel better with an AGM battery. At this point I don't want to add another battery, just upgrade the under-hood battery. If anyone has, what make and model? Thanks, Tom
  7. Yes, but it depends on what they are changing. I used to travel around to the factory's and ports for simple updates, all done in the parking lots. What they do is send some personnel from the research center (like me) with a tool kit. Much easier to do TSB's and recalls in the dealership under controlled conditions. If a transmission is involved for sure a dealership is best. The ports are not equipped for this. They are mostly just a storage ground area to wait for railway transit. It's best to catch this at the plant before shipping.
  8. Wow! That doesn't sound good! I'll ask around to see what I can find out. I would think they would still ship them to the dealers and let them perform the parts updates. If you want to give me your VIN I can check daily for updates. I check on mine daily so one more VIN is no problem.
  9. Sam's Club has the Duracell Group 48 (H6) AGM on sale for $134, so I bought one. I also picked up a CTEK (56-353) MULTI US 7002 12-Volt Battery Charger to keep it in good shape.
  10. Yes, Euro gets the changes in 2018 and US 2019. The US 2018 is unchanged.
  11. Sorry to hear about your situation! The dealers that are listing the 2018 wagons in stock might not actually be there. The only 2018's that I found actually in stock are the cargo vans. I checked around yesterday some VIN's that are listed on some Michigan dealer web sites and they were actually still in transit just like yours and mine. If you have one in mind give me the VIN and I'll let you know where it is, I'm able to check. I'm going to wait for mine, I have until March. I understand you need it now.
  12. I'm a 35 year Ford Motor Company employee, but now retired since 2014. I still get A-plan, which is below invoice price, so brand new has always made sense for my situation. I always order with most all options. The 2018's already have incentives. Mine should be here next month or February since it's been shipped and in transit since Nov 21st. Hoping for more incentives yet after Jan. 1st.
  13. If you are talking to me, I will certainly keep this thread updated on progress of my 2018, here's the latest... There have been no updates since November 21st
  14. Brake Caliper Covers

Looks good! I have a red one ordered, I like looking at red TC's How do you like your WeatherTech side window deflectors?
  15. Both Transits look great! So do your planes! I ordered a 2018 Race Red LWB Titanium in September. It's been built and was shipped on November 21st. No more updates since then. I'm looking forward to getting it and glad most everyone enjoys theirs.
  16. Hi Debspanial, I also live in Michigan, and ordered a 2018 Titanium wagon. I have a Ford Edge lease that expires on March 23rd 2018, so I left a 6-month cushion by ordering in September. My salesman before I ordered said, be prepared for a 6-month wait, and if it comes in earlier that will be a bonus and we will hold it if you like. Even though Ford thought 2018's might be built in mass in August, that might not have happened, but for sure the plant is running in full production now. The reason I say this, I know another fellow that ordered a 2018 back in May when you could first order one, his was built in October like yours. Here's where I am as of yesterday. As you can see, mine was ordered on 9/16 and built on 11/19. I have a hard time believing it will take another 4-months to get here, but, we will see. Good luck to both of us with our orders. 4 to 6 months seems normal, and at times a bit frustrating. Hang in there!
  17. tie-down rings

Nice, just what I was looking for. Hope they are still there in the 2018. Thanks!
  18. In the newer wagon LWB, are there any tie-down rings inside with the seats folded? I want to secure my fridge/freezer with a cable.
  19. I will be ordering a 2018 LWB Titanium Transit Connect Wagon. It comes with Captain Chairs in the second row, but you can order a Bench seat as no cost option. It's just the wife and I and sometimes another couple out to dinner, so people room is not important. My main concern is when I want to fold all the seats for traveling and packing. I've seen on some older ones, even with buckets, the magnetic flaps cover everything and don't leave a hole in the middle. But, I thought I seen a picture of a 2017 that did have a hole in the middle with all the flaps down? I'm wondering if I should get the Bench seat just to fill that hole when folded, if in fact there is a hole? Or some other way around it? Any help and thoughts are appreciated! Thanks, Tom
  20. My Connect is in production with a build date of 11/17/2017
  21. Does anyone know if any of the 12v powerpoint receptacles are hot all the time? or are they all switched with the key? I'm getting a 2018 wagon but I imagine it will be the same for 2017, 2017, 2015, etc... I'm really hoping the one in the back is hot all the time?
  22. Yes, they are great fridges. I'm using the cutoff voltage on High, works great and I don't have to worry about a dead battery.
  23. This is all great information, you two are having a good discussion on this subject, it is very interesting. The fridge/freezer I bought is an ARB Fridge Freezer 50 QT (10800472), supposedly one of the best. I bought it because it has three battery protection modes and draws very low intermittent amp draw. I'm currently using it in my 2016 Ford Edge with a regular battery. I've left the fridge running and set to 34 degrees F for 2 days without problem. It can go down to 0 degrees and make ice cubes. It hardly cycles on and off, quite amazing. But, I'm sure this is not good on a regular battery, so, this is why I want an AGM for my ordered Transit Connect. I'd buy an AGM battery right now for the Edge if I could pull it and put it in the Connect when I get it, but don't want to take the chance it won't fit. Here's the fridge/freezer and specs... They say it draws an intermittent 1.35 amps per hour. here's the three settings for the battery monitoring. I leave it on the safest setting of HIGH. On this setting it has never cut off yet. I have seen my battery at 11.9v, but my Edge still started with no noticeable degradation in cranking. BATTERY MONITOR MODE LOW MED HIGH Switch off voltage – 12V DC 10.1V 11.4V 11.8V Restart voltage – 12V DC 11.1V 12.2V 12.6V Here's the Fridge/Freezer and specs at the manufactures web site. 24. Thanks Don, Looks like what I need! I'm a Sam's club member so that will work. I'm waiting for my 2018 Connect... Appreciated! Tom
