  1. Hello everyone! I'm going into my third year with my Explorer which replaced my TC. I like the Explorer, but miss the TC in many ways! I don't use rear seats, except maybe going out to dinner with another couple. So, seats are always folded. I have a RAD folding electric bike that fit much better in the TC, mostly because of the roof height, I really miss that! My three year leased Explorer will end next February 2024, and was hoping for another TC, but sadly they may be gone here in the US. I specked out a full size Transit, but won't fit in my garage and much more money. Anyway, just thought I would check in on the forum and see what's new!
  2. I have the exact same Weathertech full length Cargo Liner, with the optional snap on bumper liner option (which I never used). It is like new. I paid $169. + $18. shipping. I'm picking up a new Explorer today so I don't need it. I will take $75. but don't know if shipping it would be practical? I live in Brownstown Michigan.
  3. Well, my 3-year lease is up in two weeks. This has been a fantastic vehicle, absolutely no problems. The only thing I miss is 4wd. For this reason only, I ordered a 2021 Explorer. I had an Explorer before my Transit Connect and liked it, except for the mileage not being as good. Now, in 2021, with the 300hp 2.3L 4cyl Ecoboost with 10-speed trans and 4wd it is rated at 20 city 27 highway and 23 combined, not bad! And, the performance is amazing, I drove one. The inside cargo floor space with all seats folded is about the same. Where you gain with the Connect is height. Also the sliding doors on the Connect are more handy than conventional doors, at least I think so. So, I think there are advantages to the Connect, just wish they made 4wd. One other thing I find interesting, the Explorer is about $6,000 to $8,000 more expensive, but, the lease payment is about the same! This is because the residual value is better on the Explorer, and incentives are usually better. For those that are purchasing instead of leasing this doesn't apply so much.
  4. Still liking my 2018. It's a 3 year lease, so the end is near. I'm going to order a 2021.
  5. If ordering, the salesman should remind that this is an option. I've heard others complain about this on other Ford vehicles, including my brother that ordered a Fusion a few years ago and was very disappointed when he found out there were no backup sensors. He ordered the camera and just figured it would also beep.
  6. My 2018 Titanium has one touch windows. When you say Global, does that mean all at once? How do I do this? Thanks,
  7. Hope you find one, I love my Race Red! I still get many compliments. I have a friend that ordered one on November 18th, he's getting it at the end of this month, so 2 1/2 months, not bad. They are moving production to Mexico for 2021 model year, should be much quicker to get one then.
  8. Thanks for the info. Yes, I also noticed if I shut the radio off before shutting the vehicle off it works as you say. Well, I guess I'm not alone, a bug in the system, but minor. Thanks
  9. I have a 2018 Titanium built in the fall of 2017 and delivered in March 2018. It came with Sync 3 v.2.3. And an older Nav. Map version from 2015. I noticed online there was an updated Map version of 2018. It let me download it. I put it on a USB with all the proper files. When I stuck it in it said I could not update the map until Sync was updated to Sync 3 v3.0. I thought, no problem I'll do that too. Well, the web site said v3.0 was not available for my vehicle. I called Ford and they confirmed the same thing. They even said they were not sure if it would ever be available! So, nice, stuck with old 2015 maps! I decided to check around the internet and found a download from Sync 3 v2.3 to v3.0. I performed the update and then proceeded to upgrade my maps to 2018. All is working well except for one thing. Say for instance I'm listening to Sirius radio. I shut the vehicle off. Next time I get in and start the vehicle I'm on an AM station. Kind of weird. Maybe I should disconnect the battery and let it reset? This is minor to me though as everything else works as it should.
  10. I use an ArkPak 730 with my Battle Born 100Ah 12V LiFePO4 Deep Cycle Battery. It works great, but not inexpensive.
  11. The Sam's Club Duracell Group 48 (H6) AGM battery is like the original, just slightly bigger, but still fits and can still use the original top bracket. The posts are exactly in the same place as the original. If I remember, pulling the air cleaner and bellows assembly will give access to removing the battery.
  12. I swapped my headlight bulbs with HIKARI LED Headlight Bulb Conversion Kit -H11 back in May 2018. I still like them, although they are not perfect. I had to re-aim the lights down, not a big deal. They are much brighter and are white instead of the dim yellow stock bulbs. There's no distinct cutoff line like HID's, but I still like them much more than stock bulbs. I think they were about $69. on Amazon.
  13. I have a new Ford Escape with Adaptive Cruise Control and Stop-N-Go. The 2019 TC works exactly the same, which is great! My co-worker at Ford has tested one and said it works just like the other Ford vehicles.
  14. Thought I'd give you guys an update on the AGM battery in my TC (bought at Sam's Club). I've been using it in the TC for a year now. Currently on a month long trip in Florida and using the fridge 24/7. All is good. Great vehicle, love it! I will buy another one when the time comes.
  15. Steven, try rotating the tires front to back to see if the noise stays exactly the same. If it changes, probably tires, if not get it checked out. Tom
  16. Hi Ford-diesel, sorry, I just now saw your reply. It actually took 4-months. My dealer told me it could take as long as 6-months. It's built in Spain and 4-months seems the normal amount of time for a US order. I ordered in September and it arrived at the dealer in January. I didn't pick it up untill March because thats when my Ford Edge lease was up.
  17. Looks really Nice! SWB are the best looking!
  18. Thanks everyone for the comments. So far, really liking it! I swapped out all the interior lights with LED's (7 of them), nice and bright now!
  19. Welcome JT3! Looks great!!
  20. Yes, I confirm, the AGM battery fit is good, plenty of room all around and especially on top. The plastic cover that fits on top makes sure nothing will ever touch the terminals. It's more protected than most vehicles. In 2019 the TC will have start-stop technology. All Ford start-stop vehicles automatically come with AGM batteries.
  21. I put the Sam's Club Duracell Group 48 (H6) AGM in my 2018 TC last week (Thanks to Beta Don for recommending it!). It fits well. The top bracket that crosses over the top of the battery fits on tight, but it does work! I bought this battery in December, put it in my 2016 Ford Edge for a month long trip to Florida. I ran my ARB Fridge/Freezer non-stop 24/7 set at 36F degrees for the whole month, and it was plenty hot in Florida. The battery works great! I pulled it out of the Edge and put it in my new TC.
  22. Yes, it's a Weathertech BumpStep. It works well as a step, but I like it in case someone bumps into me, which has happened on my other vehicle and saved my rear door from getting smashed in. I also have the wider version called BumpStep XL (24" wide), but it was interfering with my back-up sensors, this BumpStep 12" wide one doesn't.
