  1. The epic saga continues! Since the scratches are down to the bare metal they are going to have to repaint. Waiting to hear back from the service rep regarding the exact fix.
  2. Unfortunately the comment was made by the Service Rep, not the Sale Rep. Also, my car is now scratched from when they installed the windshield.
  3. Finally got the windshield replaced today. Other than the now scratched pain on the passenger side support lip, everything looks okay. Went ahead and got my first oil change (even though I'm only at 1700 miles) and had them double check for trans fluid leaks while the van was there today. Dealer guy said, "My tech says that the 2015 Transit is different than the previous model and, so far, has not had any leak issues.".
  4. Apparently the SWB, cargo van with rear liftgate option isn't very popular, and the Sunrise dealership in NoHo was the only one that had one "in stock". I kinda wish I had gone with Galpin instead. The sales guys at Sunrise have zero attention to detail. I have been very disappointed in their ability to do their jobs.
  5. Ford dealership contacted me Aug 3 to say that the warranty replacement was approved. As of today (Aug 12) they are still waiting on the windshield to come in for the replacement. Apparently windshields are a "vendor only" item that they have to special request. Even with the "emergency" order they have no ETA on when it will arrive.
  6. Here's a link to a video of the wiper attachment. https://youtu.be/CL9cKC9t7x4 Here's some pictures of the scratch the wiper arm left AFTER the dealership "polished" it out. Plus the chip that appeared only after dropping the van off at the dealership to get the scratches taken care of.
  7. It was very not good. I've had a HORRIBLE time with Sunrise Ford in North Hollywood. Taking my car in after this incident was trip #5 to the dealership for their mistakes. The offered to polish the windshield. However, when I got the car back there was now a chip in the windshield, and two places that the scratch was too deep for the polish to "fix". Sales refused to replace the windshield, so now it's been filed as a warranty repair. They took pics at the dealership that were horrible quality, so I have to take different (better!) pictures today and email them to the tech/repair guy. Hopefully Ford will replace the windshield, but I'm not optimistic about my chances. The wiper arm was not damaged at all that I can tell. I tried going to autozone and getting a new blade, but they didn't have one to fit the Ford arm. The attachment point/mechanism is not a "standard" and quite frankly is very poorly designed. I would expect it to fail, and it will definitely be something that I have to repeatedly check from now on. I'll take a picture to post here when I take the others of the damage.
  8. Two weekends ago was quite an eventful day for me. I was 2 hrs into a road trip when I drove through a bunch of bugs. Hit the lever to clean the windshield, and near the beginning of the cleaning cycle the driver side wiper blade just flies off the arm and off the car. That meant that the metal arm dug into the windshield and caused a nice scrape through the whole windshield as it finished the cleaning cycle. This happened 8 weeks to the day of me buying the brand new car. Has anyone else had something like this happen to them?
