  1. EcoBoost won't help you being dumb. He was dumb as a bag of hammers.
  2. Heh, embarrassed to have been part of one of those moderation instances Thanks for your good company and good luck with everything.
  3. Just saw this pin board: https://www.pinterest.com/richhand/ford-transit-connect-transformations/
  4. I loved my 2006 van and like my 2012 wagon a lot. The only shortcomings I see is the "truckish" feel compared to the new body. Also missing cruise control and some weak bits such as wheel bearings, rear brakes and steering rack. Both generations look the best of vans. Haven't driven the gasoline automatic so don't know about that.
  5. What a crowd here =)
  6. What's wrong with the Jetta? You're giving up a perfectly good and economical automobile just because of politics?
  7. It'll be tight with a rigid bulkhead. Been there, done that. Open cabin or a cage with a door behind the passenger seat is good for that.
  8. Hmm, you have temperature display in the cluster screen top row. Want.
  9. Plenty of cheap car storage organizers available without the need of expensive and bulky overhead bins.
  10. You might want to remove the original screws and replace them with push rivets if it helps anything. Perhaps easier to remove at an angle.
  11. There was a thread with pinout somewhere here.
  12. Stick your fingers in the rail crack and pull the door away from the body while yanking the handle.
  13. Right, this forum does not support image links not ending with the file extension. Google only shares with no extension nowdays.
  14. Don may be onto something. Perhaps there's something in the barrel preventing the correct seating.
  15. You don't need to mess with the 3.5 mm cables. Get a cheap Bluetooth audio/handsfree adapter, plug it in the AUX port and you'll have wireless music and other audio in the car. I bought three of these, use them everywhere I used to need cables: https://www.amazon.com/AUKEY-Bluetooth-Receiver-Adapter-Hands-free/dp/B00O8FYUJA
  16. Mine's even less useful as it's a 3seater and the compartment is under the seat and I usually have the center seat back folded down for a desk-armrest. So accessing the compartment means two moves. Luckily there's an aux 12V on the dash top tray and audio goes through BT.
  17. Welcome. We'll be waiting for pictures to appear.
  18. No I didn't. I could ask the shop if they noticed the problem. It was really noisy.
  19. The van is a bit too heavy for Focus bits so it wears out the wheel bearings prematurely. One of the causes are also dragging brakes which bake the grease in the wheel bearing. You can go one size up with a soft tire to take away some of the stress. I have heard of 225 mm wide tires at factory height but that's not helping you. Just makes the steering heavier and more sensitive to road grooves. Just had a front right bearing replaced in my 2012 the other day, €52 for the bearing plus €62 for the labor. Also required a new ABS sensor.
