  1. There's also a Gen1 combo with 1.8 Zetec/manual but that won't probably work for Duratec.
  2. It's a truck plant so more suitable for bigger vehicles. They also make semi trucks.
  3. Yes, it's ready, Transit Custom/VW Transporter will be available in diesel/PHEV/EV: https://www.motor1.com/news/611264/2023-ford-transit-custom-electric-diesel-and-phev-debut/
  4. It's the same car, talking about NA models. Caddy based '23 Tourneo Connects (Transit Connect passenger vans) have been available in Europe, in theory at least. Pic from Facebook (credit Steven):
  5. Android Auto for phone screens was discontinued. They put all effort on the car screen now.
  6. You can't rationalize Half Wheeled Skateboard's behavior. As he personally never asks for help, he tells.
  7. Now I am never leaving this forum. Just for this guy harassing other members.
  8. Sold my Connect as well. Not decided on the next van yet.
  9. Oh yeah, my bad. Weird to dig up a 8 year old thread tho ?
  10. https://www.hotcars.com/this-400hp-ford-transit-connect-van-may-be-the-ultimate-sleeper/ Heh.
  11. It's 2005 turbo diesel.
  12. I have very long arms so it has not been an issue. The first move would be soaking a rag in diluted dishwashing fluid and rubbing as far you can standing up outside the car, then inside. Finish up with windex+paper, polish with a clean and dry rag.
  13. When I had the same issues it tuned out to be a worn out high pressure pump. Worth taking it to diesel specialist.
  14. These are old enough to be legal in the US. There are plenty of normal sized Japanese cab-over vans of the same shape. All really cool. They were imported en masse from Finland back in the switch of 80/90s when I could not afford anything but a used Lada and they were really popular because of post soviet spawn of private business and the vans were very practical for that. Mitubishi Delica, Nissan Vanette, Toyota Liteace/Townace, etc.
  15. You're really bad at foruming. Or everything really.
  16. Probably by using carbon steel blades on glass.
  17. The transmission manufacturer (Aisin) recommends 50K miles for severe service (lots of stop and go, trailer pulling, hills etc.) You can change it more frequently if you like. Use transmission specific low-viscosity oil only: 31256774/31256775.
  18. There is no separate amplifier for the base radio. It's all integrated.
  19. Off topic: jrm223, is that a semi caravan you have there? if yes, what do you use to haul it?
  20. I have read of people retaining the original head unit in the glove box for this exact reason.
