  2. Passenger seat fold flat?

Can someone with a fold-flat seat post a pic of theirs folded down?
  3. Today
  4. Tiller, How much did it cost you to have it done and what dealership did it? Can you you share any other information, like specifically what they did? Thanks.
  5. Front window defroster - crack

That's the front window with the electric defrosting?
  6. Yesterday
  7. I was experimenting with some coatings and I bought a can of Flex Seal (as seen on TV). The clear stuff sprayed a thick, rough coat. It may work well if you want panels with texture. Just a crazy suggestion...... It's expensive at $12/can.
  8. Windguy, "Dark Mode" in the Body Control Module does not affect the interior lights. For maximum stealth, I used the three-position switch to turn off the cabin light, so it doesn't come on with an opened door. I also disconnected the cargo area light, since it had no switch. I don't know if the firmware update allows you to set a shorter duration for the exterior lights.
  9. Sorry to hear that your local dealers have been uncooperative. I might have had a slight advantage, because I purchased my TC brand new from the dealer I took it to for this issue, and my salesperson was willing to provide after-the-sale support to make sure that I would be a happy customer of his. He was the person who spoke with the Service Director and urged him to see if Ford had put out a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) that addressed customer concerns regarding the automatic lighting and battery drain problem. If the dealership is still uncooperative after you have spoken to their Service Director, call Ford's Customer Relationship Center at 1-800-392-3673. Also, keep in mind that no dealership wants to receive damning reviews on Yelp, so you might have additional leverage by threatening to use social media to complain. Just refuse to take "No" for an answer.
  10. Front window defroster - crack

It's not expensive over here, perhaps €50..100 plus.
  11. Front window defroster - crack

Going to cal the insurance company today and see about a replacement before the cold weather gets here.
  12. That's sad. I can't say I'm impressed with my dealer at all. After having a bunch of Toyota's the difference between the Toyota and Ford dealerships is night and day. I'm glad they finally got it done. I just don't understand it. I might try another Ford dealership for future service and see if they are any better.
  13. Front window defroster - crack

This must be an expensive windshield? Hopefully it will make no difference with insurance.
  14. Nice work Colby! Thanks for all the detail and pictures!

  16. 2nd gen-how many miles on stock tires?

    Love the trailer, looks business.
  17. What year TC ? Mine does not have the day time running lights either.
  18. Yah my HID came with ballast and then it was flickering then the read I needed to get a relay which I got and now it works but the day time running light warning in the dash goes on everytime I start my car. Stupid Canada with all their safety regulations. In my previous car I just pulled out the fuse for day time runners but I can't even find where this is or if there is a fuse in the Transit.
  19. Received my roof vent flange adapter from @Hein today, VERY nice piece of kit. Like a Dingus i forgot to take pictures of it. Tomorrow, my buddy from the body shop next door is going to come over and cut the hole in the roof, its not that i can't do it, its that i don't really have the time right now, so while I'm working, he can use out the hole and it'll all be good. ill get pics of the adapter, and the products that I'm going to use to install the vent. with any luck, the vent will be finished installed on wednesday. which is just in time for my "exit" on sunday, heading to Overland Expo East, from southern California to Asheville, North Carolina. taking the van, and my little trailer with product, hoping for a good weekend.
  20. Last week
  21. Count your blessings . . . . and then count them again Your Ford dealer is one in a thousand - The two dealers nearest me know next to nothing about TC's and after several years now, it appears they intend to keep it that way. They just don't care, plain and simple Don
  22. 2nd gen-how many miles on stock tires?

57600 miles the Rear Continentals were down to the Wear bars. The Continentals went about 42000. Replaced them with a set of Sumitomo Tire HTR A/S P02 Performance Radial Tire - 215/60R16 99V load index. The first impressions are very good. They were round and easy to Balance not needing much weight . The handling is comparable . The TC seems unaware of the 3% increase in the circumference. The Speedometer is 2 MPH low, no issue for me. The ride quality is noticeably better. While I was there the Rear pads were at 20% and the disc's were rusting (dirt roads and winter salt) . New Pads and rotors , (Rockauto $11.85 pads $14.56 ea. rotors )The brakes are now back to new. The front brakes are at 50 % so they will go further. Time will tell how good the tires are.
  23. It is worth the wait to get all the factory options you want. Some options can't be added later without some loss of function (tow pkg for example).
  24. If you're doing a sleeping platform, the fold-flat front passenger seat makes length a non-issue, even on the SWB (which I have). However, if you're sleeping on the floor it is indeed a bit of a crunch for people over 6'... The fold-flat passenger seat was the main reason I was sure to get non-power cloth seats instead of the leather ones which don't have that feature. That all being said, this last weekend we slept on the floor of the SWB... Smallest rig at the RV park by a mile!
  25. Front window defroster - crack

As long as it does not migrate into the Wiper Path you are good. When it does you will have to replace the windshield to get an inspection sticker
  26. Mahindra Group and Ford Motor Company today agreed to explore a strategic alliance, designed to leverage the benefits of Ford’s global reach and expertise and Mahindra’s scale in India and successful operating model. View the full article
  27. Front window defroster - crack

The crack does not bother the use of defroster. It may only snap the wires it passes but the rest will still work.
  28. I just noticed a crack in my windshield this weekend. I didn't notice it because it is close to the top behind the black frit at the top. It started from a tiny impact I guess, I can see a small "star" of about 1/4" about two inches from the top. The crack runs to the top of the window. It also runs down behind the where the mirror and sensors attach and then behind my EZ-pass. It's why I didn't see it until yesterday. I'm guessing I need to replace this before running the front window defroster probably. Tiller
